       Program director Cecil Touchon has been a professional artist represented in New York City for nearly thirty years. He has produced thousands of works of art in that time including drawing, collages, constructions and paintings. His work it in corporate, public and private collections all over the US as well as Japan, China, England, South Africa, Mexico and elsewhere. His work is frequently seen in interior design magazines such as Interior Design, House Beautiful, El Decor, New York Spaces, Atlanta Homes, etc. as well as in the pages of the Boston Review and the web site In the Media. One of Touchon's curated exhibitions; Thinking Inside of the Box which included such contributors as Yoko Ono was featured on National Public Radio.

Touchon is also known as a poet and visual poet and has some 20 published books under his belt.

Additionally Touchon is the founder and director of the International Museum of Collage, Assemblage and Construction. The museum is Touchon's project to gather together a massive collection of contemporary collage art through donations from colleagues from all over the world. It is through his connections with other artists that the Art is Primary program will be able help our young artists exchange art with kids from around the world.

Cecil Touchon is himself the father of three children one of whom, Brittany is currently serving as a Peace Corps volunteer in Togo, Africa. Touchon has a long standing interest in the well being of children and was also a foster parent for two years in the 1980's to seven at risk kids.
